Six Sided Wrestling Ring: Stupid or Innovative?

TNA is an alternative wrestling organization looking to cut in on WWE's dominance in the sports entertainment business. It's a good product. Really it is. But do they really need to keep the six sided ring? It's supposed to be an innovation in pro wrestling, but nothing has been done any differently in TNA than anywhere else.

It just looks like a lame gimmick that adds nothing new or exciting to the table. Wrestlers look awkward when bouncing off the ropes, like they don't know what to do when they get in the ring.

Till they decide to do away with the thing, I can't see TNA being taken series by most casual wrestling fans. They won't give the product a chance because it looks like they are trying to combine MMA with wrestling.
