Cosmic Coincidences

I was having one of those typical 'here we go again' days that had been occuring over the last couple of months. My days in the past few weeks seemed to revolve around going to the hospital, being with my mother and generally finding a big comfortable lounge chair, staying the night before going home to change and come back again.

Then it happened. Mum passed away. We were all there to ease her on her way. It was what she wanted. That night I sat with members of my family and we had a few drinks, sang a few songs and went to bed. The following day I didn't have to go to the hospital. What was I going to do? My sister was in charge of organising the funeral and I was left to hang around.

Well, my wife decided it was time to get away and we went in search of a crystal shop. We found one but it was closed so we missed out on seeing what was on offer. When we got back to my sister's place, she decided that she was going to load inspirational audiobooks onto her mp3 player. This was the moment when things would begin to take a turn for the better.

When she had completed this arduous task of ripping, synchronising and burning, she decided she did not need the CD's anymore. Imagine my surprise when she told me I could have the copy of Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret". I had heard about it, read about it and even remembered seeing something on the talk shows about it, now I owned it.

Well, where do you get time to listen to over four hours of motivational and inspirational discourse? In the car of course. Driving between Brisbane and Canberra in Australia takes around 17 hours and you cover approximately 1200 kilometres (750 miles). Plenty of time to listen to the likes of Bob Proctor and the Reverend Beckwith.

Like I said, its that aha moment. You hear something (or see, smell, touch or taste) and BAM! your life is changed forever. Well, I got home and asked the genie in the bottle for what I wanted. You know, all those usual things, money, possessions and ... well, money and lots of it. Why? Well, when you have plenty of money, you can help others in need without paupering yourself.

My wife and I both had the same idea, to research wealth creation on the internet. We found eBay and created accounts, bought some things and created ideas for a new work from home lifestyle type self-employment. For whatever reason, she found and downloaded the Mozilla Firefox browser. I did the same and I started to play with the add-ons. Low and behold after playing with these wonderful cyber-toys for a while she stumbled on Squidoo.

Now we are here and creating our first lenses and your reading mine (I hope). Hers are called Identifying your life's purpose and planning the journey, Serenity and Tranquility. We have asked the universe to provide ways in which to improve our lives and we found eBay, Amazon and now Squidoo. We've taken the first step on our new journey towards wealth creation. As we develop our wealth we hope to bring others along with us. Come along for the ride and have some fun while enjoying those "Cosmic Coincidences".
