So we are interested in keeping our body health and benefit. What are the reasons? Obviously the fit body enables us to achieve our goals, enjoy our life and satisfy our desires. To have such a body let us understand the simple concepts for having the same.
There are different terms used to measure the fitness of a body. One frequently we hear about is BMI meaning Body Mass Index. In common terms it shows the ratio of your weight/height.
BMI (kg/m ) = (weight in pounds * 703 )/height in inches for pounds and inches
= (weight in kilograms)/height in metres
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5 -24.9 Normal
25 - 29.9 Overweight
30 & Above Obese

To have a great figure it is very easy from the table that you should have your BMI between 18.5 and 24.9. The middle values in this range are the better. So let us move on to find the way for achieving the same.
The problem no.1 : Most of us will make one mistake in trying to reduce our Body fat. It is the one mistake that is the root cause of many failures for achieving a healthy body. The weight loss program or the body fat reduction plan or the path to a great figure should have one thing in place to be helpful. It is the Diet component. Many people think that by consuming low calorie diet, or by skipping lunches/dinners or by forsaking their favorite foods is necessary for having a great figure. This is a serious flaw.

The trick is to start with small warm up exercises, then with Body weight exercises and, once you are comfortable, you can move on to Heavyweight/power exercises. You should get your physician's advice on suitability of the exercise for your body.
The problem no.3: The right mindset. Don't worry! It only means that you should be able to judge the suitability of exercises, the diet plan and the timings/intervals depending upon your age, gender, your present BMI(Under weight/Normal/Overweight/Obese), your occupation, lifestyle etc... Obviously, the diet plan shall be a little different for people with less BMI and those with higher BMI.
After deciding on the plan, The Right Mind set means the ability to stick for it for atleast some months with frequent checking with your physician to get good results.
