    I, too, have Sjogren's and RA. I have tear duct plugs and use Restasis as well to keep my eyes comfortable. I have also found a great toothpaste and rinse that help the dry mouth symptoms tremendously - BIOTENE. It can be found at most retail stores (Wal-Mart - even Walgreens). Winters were always real bad for me until my dentist suggested Biotene. He gave me a sample kit which included the rinse, toothpaste and a gel. I didn't like the gel that much, but the rinse and toothpaste are great. I also heard there's a Biotene gum for dry mouth which I'm definitely going to try. I hope that will help the rest of the dry mouth sufferers out there.

    Very informative! My hygenist recently told me to use prescription strength flouride toothpaste and/or rinse with flouride mouthwash - due to dry mouth. Didn't realize till now that it could cause dental probs.

    To my Sjogren's Syndrome best friend! What would we do without each other to talk to and help with kids. I pray for our Christian Chronic Support Group everyday!

    I created a post about dry eyes at your suggestion. It seems I matched your experience to a "T". Try the Omega 3 fatty acids in fish/flaxseed oil capsules. It may help. My wife has eliminated wheat and most grains from our diet. It helps arthritis, Crohn's, and psoriasis.
