Skagen Design and Style: Because First Impressions Count

The simplicity and style of an ultra thin Skagen Watch is unmistakable, maybe it's because of Skagen's Danish heritage, but there's definitely something cool about wearing a Skagen.
There's an old saying 'First impressions count' and while you may think about how your hair and shoes look to the casual observer, it's surprising how people subconsciously judge you by what type of watch you're wearing. Something big and ostentatious these days just shouts insecurity, whilst the slim profile of a Skagen quietly purrs assured control. Don't get me wrong, I've got to admit a watch that that can tell the time in 27 different countries, remember a thousand or so telephone numbers and still play the James Bond theme tune, as an alarm, will always have a place in my heart. But you've got to ask when you raise your arm to shake somebody's hand what sort of impression does your present watch convey to a critical world.

Skagen - The Thin Watch to Have Up Your Sleeve

And they won't ruin your shirt cuff

Skagen Ultra Thin Watches only 6mm thickOne of the things I really hate about thick watches is the way they can get stuck under your cuff. I know it's only a little thing but fumbling around under your shirtsleeve during a business meeting is not a good look, believe me! Also, probably due to the weight, you're always seem to be aware that there's a slab of machinery manacled to your wrist
However, the majority of Skagen watches having a case thickness of under 7mm (that's approximately a quarter of an inch to you and me) and they slide under your shirt cuff with ease. And what's more they're so light you hardly know you're wearing a watch at all.

Beautiful Thin Wristbands That Fit Like a Glove

Skagen thin mesh wristband Another plus about Skagen watches are their wristbands. Now personally I've never liked metal wristbands, for a start I think they're too heavy and clunky and secondly the hairs on my arms always seem to get somehow caught in-between the links. That's why until now I've always worn a leather wristband. Not any longer though, the metal mesh that Skagen incorporate on most of their men's and ladies watch range is truly marvellous. It's light and durable but most of all, as it's a continuous band (not links) it folds around your wrist like a leather strap but it doesn't grab at your skin or any of your arm hair.

Now There's a Skagen Wristband with a Difference

Eye-catching, functional and fun

Skagen Silicone WristbandSkagen have done it again! Aware that not everyone wants a metal wristband (personally though I can't see why as their mesh wrist straps are so comfortable) those clever designers at Skagen have developed a silicone strap that's not only functional, but also colourful and fun at the same time.
Available in Blue, Yellow, Black and Orange these titanium watches also feature a sub second hand that sets these unisex Skagens apart from the competition.

The Skagen Titanium Range

Stronger and lighter than ever before

Skagen Titanium Thin WatchWith this range of thin watches, as the name suggests, the case and bracelet are made from solid titanium. A metal that's 50 percent lighter than steel and a whopping 30 percent stronger, and if that isn't enough it's particularly resistant to seawater corrosion as well as being hypoallergenic. Perfect for designing thin watches that are water resistant and also multifunctional. A great example being the Multifunction Titanium Bracelet Watch #596XLTXM (shown opposite), which features three sub-dials as well as luminous markers and a second hand. A beautiful watch for a truly Ultra Slim Price

Size, Design or Brand - What d'ya think?

Personally, I was really disappointed when I bought my last digital watch. It was so big it wouldn't fit under my shirt cuff, that's why I researched into 'Thin Watches' and discovered Skagen. Happily at Christmas, Santa knew what I wanted (A beautiful Skagen 233LTTN) and I've got to say it's the best watch I've ever had.

I've had a Skagen for about a year now and I love it! It goes with virtually any outfit, casual or dressy! I've gotten so many compliments on it. I'm 19 years old and young and old have both complimented me. I don't think it will be my last Skagen.

Nice collection, it's the first time I hear about this brand. All the ones I find attractive are the men's one. The women's watches looks less inspired. I really do like the ones with the silicone bands.

    Robbins @ Bulova women's watches
Generally thin watches fits to most dress codes. Weather it be for clausal wear or professional attires thin watches will fit just right. I'm not a fan of the skagen timepiece but i do like the Skagen Titanium Range of thin watches.
