They'll give you exposure with the shots they take as you skate. You can also try to join competitions like Street Contests, Tranny Contests and Downhill Races. You'll be meeting the pros as the game progresses. If you beat their challenges, they'll let you access their gears and sponsors. You can also make friends with people who will help you stop security guards, get rid of skate-stoppers, and sap the swimming pools if you wish to.

You gain money from completing challenges. And a new feature in this game lets you purchase properties with the money you've earned. These properties can be your own skater's paradise, as these places are useful for skating.

You can also earn money by injuring yourself. The new feature, the Hall of Meat, gives you challenges that involve hurting yourself from skating. They can also store information on your worst wipeouts and turn it to mini-achievements like getting hit by a car and getting 24,000 points on bodily damage in one drop. You can then sell the footages to Thrasher to earn more money.
