Dogs on Boards
Many of them are English bulldogs, but other breeds like to do these kind of things. They have names like Tillman, Darla, Tyson or Pete. I'm telling you, these are not ordinary dogs.
Your dog can learn to skateboard too, and I'll tell you how a little bit later on. In the meantime, meet these amazing dogs!

How to Teach Your Dog to Skateboard
Dog Lessons
So you have nice weather, your dog is begging you to play with him. Now it's right time to take your dog out and teach him how to skateboard. You'll need to take a leash, a string and a harness, if you have one. First, read and print these steps, and then watch the videos below.- Do a few rides on a skateboard while your dog watches or follows you.
- Put the skateboard by your dog. Now, place your dog's front paws on the skateboard. Give him a treat.
- Place your dog on the skateboard. Offer him another treat. Don't forget this, it's very important.
- Push the skateboard with the dog on top. Look for a little slope, and let the dog go until the board stops. Do not try a steeper slope until the dog feels comfortable, and likes to stay on the board.
- Alternatively, attached a string to the skateboard, now put your dog on the board, and pull it. Another treat please. Pull it straight first and then do curves. Of course, the dog is going to jump off many times, so reward him with a treat, when he stays long on the board.
- The dog needs to get used to riding and be comfortable with the board. You can raise the criteria so that he only gets a reward when he does very well. Be sure to reinforce his performance as much as possible. Pet him while he stands on the skateboard.
- Once the dog is fine riding on the board, he is ready to push off the skateboard. This is perhaps the hardest part. Start with the dog standing on the board. Move one of his feet to the ground, and instinctively he will try to push off from that position as he tries to get on the board. Please be patient here, give him treats when he does it right.
- If your dog is unhappy at any stage of these lessons, please stop and try another day.
