5 Reasons to Ski Sunlight Mountain Instead of Aspen or Snowmass

Much of the mountain is Aspen grove with sparse evergreen trees, making Sunlight Mountain the perfect place to ski the trees.
Becaase of so few large evergreen trees, and the fact that "somebody" poodles the trees, navigating the glads is easy on both skis as well as snowboards. Kids love to drop into the glads and come out on the lower run, startling their adult counterparts who are too chicken to navigate the trees.

Not only is Sunlight Mountain resort closer to you if you are coming from the east or north, but the parking is so much easier then if you want to ski up valley.

No parking miles from the ski area, walking to a bus stop, waiting, loading and unloading your gear, and having to do it all again when you go back to your car. Instead, just drive up into the lot, and walk from your car right up the stairs to the resort ticket window. Season pass holders park in the lower lot and walk right up to the lift!
