Skin Fungus and Eczema
Traditionally, men have been known to have a higher risk of contracting some type of Skin Fungus during their life than women. I'll leave you to speculate whether that has something to do with hygiene or choice of exercise... BUT, nonetheless, this has been the case. Recently, though, Eczema (or yeast conditions, such as Candidas Albicans) has become increasingly common in women (more-so than men in this case) which usually is sourced at the gut. Luckily, you can cure these yourself with a simple, natural, home remedy.
In their article, Progression and Recurrence of Onychomycosis, Richard K. Scher, MD, FACP; Warren Joseph, DPM; Jeffrey Robbins, DPM write: "Several studies have also observed that men are more prone to onychomycosis than women; men are 1.7 to 3.0 times more likely to have a fungal nail infection.[12,14] The reasons for this gender difference are not clear but may involve social and/or genetic factors."
Yet, Wikipedia notes:
"Some people are much more susceptible than others. Those with eczema or other skin problems get ringworm [or other Onychomycosis related conditions] more easily because the protective barrier of the skin's outer layer is less intact."
So what is one to deduce from these sorts of writings? The more I read on the topic the more I am beginning to see that behind the legion of names (athlete's foot, tinea, onychomycosis, skin fungus, etc) we have a common root: We have fungus on us or in us!
Yeah, I know, WILD departure, right? Well, believe it or not, as simple as this is, most Doctors and Pharmacists do not want to simplify it that much. My theory on why that is is that you can sell more drugs when you have more names. I know that may sound cynical, but don't take my word for it, check the products at the store. You will see a nail fungus ointment that, on the back will note "May also relieve Athlete's Foot". The industry knows these things are the same!
Ok, to the point. I believe that Eczema and Skin Fungus are so closely related that if you cure one, you will cure both. Outrageous? Just think about it! Eczema, regardless of whether it is called hereditary or not, is the result of some bacteria out of control in your body, not unlike Candidas. It's common to have these bacteria in and on your body, but it is uncommon to have them at unstable quantities. Skin Fungus, can be the result of a topical infection only, or also the result of fungi in the blood stream (ew!). But not only that, severe cases of nail or skin fungus rupture their surroundings causing fissures or gashes in your skin or nails where the fungus gains access too... that's right, your blood!
If you think anything like me, you may be seeing the connection here! So, I'll say it again, cure one, cure both.
In contrast to the steroid creams, miracle solutions, and prescription drugs that do not guarantee complete removal, permanent relief, and can cause many different side effects. A simple and natural home remedy using readily available grocery items is far safer and actually improves your overall health. In fact, many who treat fungi in this way end up fixing most of their other ailments in the process.
