How to Apply Mascara

Once you have gone to all the trouble of finding a tube of mascara that is the right color and will not upset your skin, the next step is applying it for a special occasion. Start out by using an eyelash curler to curl the eyebrows before applying. After doing this and putting the eye lash curler away, pull the mascara straight out of the tube.

Applying mascara to the upper side of the top lashes first, and try to avoid the lashes clumping together. Keeping the wand parallel with your eyelids apply the same procedure to the top and lower lashes. Put the mascara back in the tube and if necessary use a eye lash brush to separate wet strands that clumped together. If the brush does not sort out eyelashes sticking together or wet blobs remain use a napkin or a paper towel to finish the job.
