Free Home Acne Treatment -

Great way to cure acne at home with out a prescription!

3 Step Home Acne Treatment That Works!

Step 1. We need to get rid of the dead skin that clogs the pores. We use salicylic. You can get it at any drug store. It works as an anti-inflammatory which reduces the swelling. 2% concentration not lower. Name brands, oxy night watch, PropapH, Stridex to name but a few. Read the label for salicylic acid 2%. Also make sure it doesn't have any other agreement that includes glycolic acid. Follow the directions, barley rub smoothly on face, let sit for 2 minuets and wash off with warm water. Every morning and night.

Step 2. We got the dead skin off now we need to unclog the pores. We do this with Glycolic acid. Glycolic acid dissolve the plugs it can get to and helps loosen the others. Name brands are Cellex-C, Gly Derm, and Physician Elite. Just to name a few. A good any drug store will have Glycolic acid.

What you are looking for is an 8 to 10% active ingredient of glycolic acid cream and no other active ingredient. Apply it the same way as step 1 right after step1. Morning and night. Leave it on for a couple of minuets.

Step 3. Time to kill the bacteria. The two steps above has gone along way in killing many of the bacteria that causes acne. However there still is bacteria under the swollen face pores that we need to address. This step is handled by benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is a great antibiotic but it needs to get to the infected area to be useful. Since the pore is closed and swollen the benzoyl peroxide will not work unless we get that swelling down. We do that with ice. We do this step just at night. Here is how we do this step.

Rub ice over the acne area until its wet and cool to the touch. Don't freeze your skin.

Doing the same wash as you did in step 1 and 2 but using benzoyl peroxide. You will get the best results by using an ice pack for 5 to 10 minutes afterwards. Then wipe off any residue and leave the rest for the night.

Ok that's it.

Light Therapy For Acne?

Can You Cure Acne With Light

Light Therapy For Acne?

Have you heard of this treatment for acne? Well I know the little pen light one won't work unless you have very small acne breakouts but...

How Does It Work?

The red and blue light (that's all it is - red and blue colored light) seeks out the bacteria that cause the severe acne. This light therapy for acne is used only 15 minutes a day for at least 12 weeks. In the meantime, you should still follow your doctor's or dermatologist's advice and continue taking any prescriptions. Normal white light or sunlight does not work. In order for light therapy for acne to work its best, you must be in or have a colored box that gives off the correct red and blue light.

Colored light therapy for acne is still considered a controversial treatment. Since the scientists who wrote up their findings in the British Journal of Dermatology in 2000, many other dermatologists and medical professionals have poo-pooed the whole idea. They insist the only light therapy for acne that has any use is done with Ultra Violet light.

Acne Rosacea Info You Need

There are many people who think that acne and rosacea are one and the same; however, they are actually two different skin problems. While many people deal with acne, there are also many people that deal with acne rosacea as well, especially people with fair skin. This is a problem that women deal with more than men, but when men develop this skin problem it can be quite severe.

New studies are beginning to show that sun damage can start rosacea in a person who already tends to blush quite easily. In some cases, rosacea may start out relatively mild; however, later it can actually put a permanent redness on your face.

The reason so many people think that rosacea is the same thing as acne is because it can actually cause pustules that appear to be like pimples to appear on the face. Yes, this may look a bit like acne, but the causes are quite a bit different.

5 Simple Acne Tips

5 Of The Best Acne Tips You Can Find Anywhere

Acne is annoying, stressful and hard to cover up. It is something that no one wants, but it does happen. Here, you will find five of the best acne tips you can use to help you get rid of your acne faster and safely.

Acne Tip 1: A pimple is actually a swelling on your face. What happens is that bacteria gets into your pore and then your white blood cells go to that area to fight off the bacteria. This is what creates the pimple and the swelling. One way you can help to get rid of your pimple faster and reduce the appearance of it is to reduce the swelling. Once you get the swelling down your acne medication will have an easier time doing its job as well. Use some ice to apply to the pimple. When it feels too cold take away the ice until you can reapply it. You should do this for about twenty minutes.

Acne Tip 2: Another way to get the swelling down is to take some Ibuprofen that is usually used when your muscles are sore or you have some swelling. A pimple is swelled with bacteria and white blood cells, so Ibuprofen can help take the swelling down a little. If you use your acne medication right before bed take the Ibuprofen about twenty or thirty minutes before you do, and then apply your medication for better results.

Acne Tip 3: Exfoliate with a good, clean exfoliating wash. You can get it over the counter at your local pharmacy. Look for the special ingredient - saliclycic acid. This is the medication that will help get rid of acne faster and prevent further outbreaks. Exfoliation is great for your skin because it helps to remove dead skin cells to make way for new and growing skin cells. It also helps get into your pores to clean out any oil, dirt, bacteria, etc. that causes some acne.

Acne Tip 4: If you are on the birth control pill you might want to talk to your medical professional about switching to one with low profestin. This type of birth control pill can actually help to prevent acne in some women.

Acne Tip 5: Just relax! Stress is a major cause for acne, and then you get acne and get more stressed out. If you can find something to help you relax in the long term, not just the short term. Some things to consider are meditation, yoga, walking, daily exercise, etc. Learn how to relax in every day situations, as well as right now so you can help get rid of your acne and prevent future outbreaks. Eat well, too. Keep a varied diet with fruits, vegetables, proteins, and more. Get your daily dose of antioxidants as well to help fight acne.

Wash Your Face

Your skin should ideally be cleansed twice a day. You can get various kinds of cleansers, including gels, bars (like soap), milks and creams. Some are to be washed off with water and others removed with cotton wool.

After cleansing, you should tone your skin. This tightens the pores and removes the last traces of the cleanser. Toners are usually liquid. Alcohol-free toners are the kindest, especially if you have dry areas on your face.

After toning, you need to moisturize. Generally, moisturizers are creamier and richer if they are designed for anti-aging or older, drier skin. You might like to choose a moisturizer containing sunscreen if you spend a lot of time outdoors because the sun ages your skin quickly. Eye gels and creams are good for moisturizing the eye area because it is more delicate than the rest of the face and some moisturizers will be too rich and make your eyes puffy or sting.

Acne Remedies and Medicines

It wasn't that long ago when acne (Zits) was considered a curse for the many individuals that suffer from this problem; however, many effective treatments are available. Research into the causes, and possible treatments, for the condition is ongoing; now, some of these skin conditions are gradually being conquered. Despite the number of acne skin care products currently available on the market, they are broadly categorized into three distinctly separate groups:
*Preventive
*Over-the-counter
*Prescription only: Requires visit to doctor

General or preventative acne products form a large section of the skin care market; products like skin cleansers and toners fall into this category. In the real sense, these products are just those that should be part of your daily routine; often used by those who want to prevent future skin problems from occurring. There are acne skin care products that are more specialized in there approach; they ensure the facial pores (and other areas) remain free of oil. These products prevent the oil from getting trapped in pores and can hamper the growth of bacteria, this can lead to the bad skin condition.

Skin care treatments such as exfoliation skin peels, clean the skin and help control the spread of the condition; these are easily obtainable in any drug store. Dead skin cells and other atmospheric pollutants are removed cleaning the pores which reduce the chance of any bacterial growth. There is a huge market for these types of acne skin care products as they don't require a consultation with a dermatologist. A bacterium that aids the formation of acne is stopped by creams and cleansers that contain benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid; these include products which extract the unwanted oil from the skin.

Generally it is best to start using this type of product with only a small amount of benzoyl peroxide (less than 5.5 percent is recommended), just to see how the skin reacts; an alternative to this includes products which contain alpha hydroxy acid. It might just be a case of trial and error to find an acne skin care product that works; however, if finding an effective remedy it is proving to be a problem then consult with your doctor, or skin care specialist. If you do need to see your doctor or skin care specialist then he may give you a prescription for antibiotics or special ointments.

In some case your doctor may suggest the pustules are drained of harmful contents under local anesthetic; never try to squeeze your zits however, as it can lead to permanent damage of your skin. Your doctor may even suggest a course of hormone therapy as a skin care treatment; studies show that hormone based skin care treatments often prove effective. Constant research has paid off, and whilst they cannot cure the condition, it is becoming easier to treat.

Skin Care and Face Lifts

Skin care is basic to extend the healthy beauty of your face and is your presentation card, the first thing that most people notice when they meet you. Most people rely on face creams to help with aging and stretch marks and although these are good they forget the benefits of stretching exercises which oxygenate your cells allowing toxins to leave through the pores.

There are a number of popular cosmetic treatments performed on a regular basis including, liposuction, breast enhancement, Rhinoplasty and 'tummy tucks' but the most common is a facelift.

The correct term for a facelift is Rhytidectomy which is designed to remove signs of aging from the face including wrinkles. Studies have shown that there are other health benefits associated with having a facelift including extending life expectancy. The basis of a facelift is quite simple; the skin is pulled tight over the face making the skin look smooth and youthful again.

One example of facial treatment is Micropigmentation which is used to increase definition around the eyes, eyebrows and lips giving the face a more alert and attractive look. If you wish, it is now possible to completely alter a persons face as almost every area of it and the head can be re-shaped, and surgery carried out to improve the individuals appearance.

One of the most prominent areas of the face is the chin because the jaw line and nose are lined up with it. Our desire to improve our looks now extends to areas of the face which weren't even considered not that long ago like the eyes and eyebrows for example. We now know from studies that peoples self confidence increases dramatically when they have a good image of themselves.

It is now possible to adjust the facial features buy adding implants or injecting collagen to strengthen the appearance. The benefits of collagen injections are there ability to 'fill out' creased or sunken skin and augment lip shape but treatments need to be repeated. However, with this treatment there is normally bruising and swelling and tenderness around the area treated. Hyaluronic acid is another jelly like substance which can be injected into the face to help reduce the signs of aging and as it is a natural occurring lubricant it is being praised as a new anti-aging wonder.

All facial treatments can to varying degrees reduce the effects of aging.

It is always worth remembering that, although cosmetic surgery may change your appearance and give you the confidence to face the world with a whole new attitude, it doesn't change who you

Home Remedies to Get Rid of Your Acne Fast

You will find that there are many acne treatments out there that you can purchase over the counter. You'll find that some of them do offer results while some don't work at all. There are expensive ones and inexpensive ones. However, if you don't want to spend the money on products that may not work, there are several home remedies out there that can help you to get rid of your acne fast without having to break your wallet purchasing an expensive product. Here are a few home remedies that are worth trying.

Essential Oils
One very common home remedy that can help to get rid of your acne quickly is using essential oils on your acne. You can easily purchase them at health food stores. Usually you should dilute the essential oils with a bit of grapeseed oil, especially if you have skin that is quite sensitive. Some of the most common oils that can be used to help treat acne include lavender, primrose oil, sandalwood, and rose hip seed oil as well.

Ice
Believe it or not, something as simple as some ice can help to treat your acne simply and quickly. Just apply some ice to the area that is affected by the acne. This can help to get rid of the inflammation that is there a lot faster, which will make the pimples look a lot less noticeable to others. So, next time you need to treat some acne, consider going to the freezer and raiding the ice maker.

Toothpaste
Toothpaste is a very common home remedy that can be used on acne as well. Of course you won't want to use gel toothpaste, but use the white toothpaste that is plain. All you have to do is take a bit of the toothpaste and put it right on the pimple. Then leave the toothpaste on all night long. Once you get up in the morning, you'll probably find that the inflammation has been reduced and you may find that the pimple is entirely gone.

Milk of Magnesia
Another excellent home remedy for acne is milk of magnesia. Many people have reported that it worked well with excellent results. Instead of taking it, use a cotton ball and apply it right on the pimples that you want to get rid of. Once it is totally dry, then use cool water to rinse it off. For the best and fastest results, it should be used a couple times each day.

Avoid popping
Last of all, if you want to get rid of your acne, you should definitely avoid popping your pimples. This can make more breakouts occur and it can even cause scarring as well. It can actually make your pimple a lot more noticeable as well instead of getting rid of it. So, just avoid popping altogether for the fast and best results.

Acne Prevention Tips

There are many acne prevention techniques that can be used to reduce the possibility of experiencing this complicated skin disorder. It is important to understand that there are many steps that you can take to ensure that you actually keep the skin healthy and looking great. Here, I will share some of these acne prevention tips:

1. First, you should ensure that you hold yourself to a high level of accountability when it comes to your daily skin care. You should make an effort to focus on washing the face at least two to three times a day with a cleanser that is considered to be gentle. Remember, it is important to lightly clean the face and not get too rough. If you clean it with harsh cleaners or you scrub to hard, you may be causing more damage than good.

2. Second, it is important to consider the condition of your hair. Many individuals who suffer from acne find that they actually have oily hair. If this is the case, you will want to ensure that you wash it frequently so that the oil does not linger down on the skin. If it does, you may find that you develop acne on the face. In addition to constant care for the hair, it is important to ensure that you keep the hair pulled back, away from the face.

3. When it comes to the hair, there are many products out there that help a person style. Believe it or not, many of these products contain a large amount of oil. This includes styling gels, mousse, hairspray, and even simple leave in conditioners. If you use these products and find that you are breaking out, it is good to eliminate them and find another that contains less oil.

4. If you are working on acne prevention, it is important to avoid allowing harsh chemicals to be put on the face. This may include makeup, and other types of chemicals.

There are many different ways to ensure that you are working to prevent acne. Acne is a complicated skin disorder that can be disheartening, uncomfortable, and even severely painful. By taking the time to identify the root cause of any acne that you may be experiencing, you are working towards a successful resolve. If you want to prevent acne, take the above mentioned steps and apply them to your day to day skin care regime. You will find that your skin will be clear and beautiful in no time at all!

News on Acne

Any time now there will be a cure for acne. We've only had this skin affliction for a couple millenniums or so. Surely the cure is coming out soon. Ah, who am I kidding? Chances are, there will never be an ideal solution for skin blemishes. And don't tell me it's Proactive Solution. This medication only works for some individuals. I realize that P. Diddy said that it "Made it so he didn't have no more bumps!" However, it did not provide such results for my teenage daughter. This is for one simple reason. We're all different and our skin reacts differently to certain products. If there was only one skin type, much would be solved...
