Tips & Tricks For Skinning In Warcraft...

Skinners know their craft. They do the down and dirty stuff for the leather workers they get paid for it. Gathering stacks and stacks of skins from the local wildlife is like a calling, or a culling, for them. Skinning both supplies leatherworkers and is a highly lucrative gathering skill.

Where's my knife?

Skinning 101

Stop! Leather time!

Skinning is a gathering profession. This means that you won't be crafting anything, merely gathering and grinding for materials which you can then either use or sell.

It's a pretty easy profession to get started with and as long as you check out the various areas you'll be in for skinnable creatures. Pick up a skinning knife and bag and you're golden.

Skinners also acquire a passive ability known as Master of Anatomy which increases your critical strike rating based on your skinning skill level.

Making Money With Skinning

Leather for the masses...

You have one goal as a skinner: Skin things. That's it. You skin creatures, you then turn around and sell the skins to leatherworkers for them to make stuff. If you happen to be a leatherworker, then more power to you.

This profession is great for selling on the auction house or if you can make a deal to somebody's supplier, that can pay off as well.

Skinning's an easy little gold maker. Skin what you kill and skin the critters that others kill and you'll keep your leatherworker supplied and/or keep a nice little cash stream coming in.
