Looking for that much needed family vacation ? I have the deal...

This year there might be less disposable income for the family winter vacation but don't you just NEED that time away ? I have the best value, just north of the border, in the Laurentians area of Quebec, Canada.

Less than 8 hours from New York city at about 415 miles north, lies the region with all the activities, skiing on multiple hills and great accomodation. My insider's point of view will give you some economical alternatives while keeping all the features you are looking for in a family winter skiing vacation.

Gas prices are right, exchange rate is all in your favour...you need the break...Let's go!!!!

SKI in Saint-Sauveur

The skiing area in the Valley of Saint-Sauveur is part of Mont-Saint-Sauveur International or MSSI. The valley contains 7 mountains, the majority with lighted night skiing and a variety of runs for all skills and expertize. Aside from downhill skiing the area has miles of cross-country skiing trails. Two sites are also reserved for SNOW TUBING and RAFTING, a great change of pace when alternating with downhill skiing. You can ski every day for a week and never ski the same mountain twice!!! And all within the same valley!!!

The pricing is also unbeatable...adult full day passes are $37.00* CDN, while 12 and under are $28.00* CDN...transferable booklets, half days and evenings only are also available...and you get your pick of any or all mountains!!!! Please view MSSI for more details.

The valley also boast numerous restaurants, bars and factory outlets shopping. Something for everyone.

STAY in St-Jerome

Now one the best way to make this vacation very affordable is by staying away from the main area for your accomodations. Saint-Jerome is only 15 minutes away from the mountain but you will find there great accomodation for about half the price you would find at the mountain.

The Super 8 brand in Canada is much different than its US counterpart. Newer properties are more hotels than motels. For example the five Super 8 properties in Quebec have inside pool with waterslide and hot tubs!!!

The SUPER 8 St-Jerome is one year old, with complimentary parking, high speed internet, and complimentary SuperStart breakfast with hot waffles.

All the rooms have a refridgerator, microvawe and coffee maker. The pool and waterslide will be a great treat for the kids and you will enjoy relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing. There is also and exercise room should you have some energy to spare after a day outdoors.

That hotel also offers great family themed suites, with one queen size bed and a separate area with bunk beds and Xbox for the kids. Games are on loan at the front desk. There is also an onsite washer and dryer.

Regular rates are $109.88* CDN for a standard room and $119.88* CDN over the Christmas Holidays. Larger suites are also available. Prices are per room, per night, double occupancy with children under 17 staying free in a parent's room. Connecting rooms are available...and remember those prices include continental breakfast!!!

SPA St Andrews

Classified amongst the 75 most beautiful spa destinations in the world, the Spa St-Andrews is set in the heart of an ancestral forest. Dining, treatments, relaxation...Offering the full range of services they also propose Winetherapy, Chocotherapy and Truffletherapy treatments.

The SPA ST ANDREWS is located half way between St-Sauveur and St-Jerome, 15 minutes either way. This is yet the best kept secret!!!!

A 60 minute Swedish massage is $85.00* CDN and to get further savings get a VIP discount card at the Super 8 St-Jerome...

Now...Why stay home when all of this is just a few hours away...
