Easy cooking for anyone
My wife nurses in a hospital and mainly does nights and I am one of the toiling, striving masses who are unemployed in these perilous times and it doesn't make for easy living. Specifically as prior to us moving to a new country I was always blessed with having servants. In the interim I now have become a housewife in men's clothing with next to no experience of washing and ironing and cooking and all the other endless chores. All I can say is if I could let this cup pass from me I would and with everlasting pleasure. It is a confounded nuisance. Now where was I.
Ah yes. Also I have been writing short articles on Squidoo and have to admit that is great fun. The problem is, when does one do what needs to be done? So here is a great and easy way to make a meal chop chop and carry on writing Squidoo lenses at the same time. It's virtually impossible to get wrong, I mean even I can do it.
More importantly if anyone is going for or trying to be a Giant. Here is a simple nourishing meal. It can't be beat.
A look at
The Ham

The first step
The ham or bacon

I've put in a 1kg. Ham known here as bacon.
First boil the water in a kettle as it saves your heating costs.
Turn stove setting to max.
Go back to writing lenses.
Turn ham after 20 minutes and top up water if needed.
Turn down setting on stove to save costs.
Steaming
The potatoes

First peel potatoes, as many as you think you need.
Add boiling water from kettle into your steam cuisine.
Same principle, it means you have to run your steam cuisine for less time.
Re assemble steam cuisine.
Add potatoes.
Set timer.
Go back to writing lenses.

The healthy way for vegetables
The cabbage
Lightly diced

You need a cabbage.
Break off different leaves, some green, some yellow.
Cut out stems and lighty chop.
Your bacon or ham needs 40 minute per kg.
Take out ham and toss in the cabbage for a few minutes. That's all it takes.
Take out cabbage and put in bowl.
Bacon and cabbage
news
Once cabbage is out.
Drain out water but leave enough in to make gravy.
Put back on stove and turn heat up slightly.
Toss in some Bistro and whisk.
When it comes to boil, turn off stove but keep whisking gravy.
Otherwise it gets a skin ( sis man ).
Whisk every now and again.
When significant other of either gender returns home and sees you on PC.
Smile and tell them to help themselves and pop it into the microwave.
Hard hey?
The finished product
Ready to eat

The gravy train
A friend
Apologies as I just cannot resist this. When and if this dear friend sees how I made the gravy, I expect some swooning.-

Hey Spook...Now that's a nutritious meal that looks relatively simple enough for even me to fix. I love cabbage steamed... Ahh but that bacon gives it the flavor... N'est Ce Pas?

- Man... you are so far ahead of me... I need a telescope to see you anymore. I got a lot of catching up to do and it's great to see you cranking 'em out my friend! I actually cook a fair amount too and enjoy it almost as much as eating... but this one's now in my book to work on (both the food and the lenses!) :)
