skypecast Conference Chat

This started out as a simple 'How to run a Successful Skypecast" but it has now become a small song of praise for the huge potential there is in using Skype for marketing, teaching, advertising, counselling, and even Psychic Reading and Dream Analysis.

One plans, and books a Skypecast, or you could suddenly start an impromptu one if you so feel the need. Its very easy. All you need to do is download the program, set up your Skypecast, and away you go.

You log into your Skype, make your availability 'Skype Me" and wait to be inundated with people wanting to improve their English, and have you view their web cam.

Seriously, it is a goldmine for those wanting to sell or market a product. You send files to the members, with details on how to buy, and discuss your product online. I already see there are females on there, in the act of selling themselves. It could also be an avenue for an illegal trade, as currently the security is not manned, and who knows what you send or sell online. I sent off a picture as a trial, and got back a few replies saying 'I should not send dirty Pics online', and then realised that there were others doing exactly that.

There is a great potential for Christian missionaries, as many Chinese, indians and Koreans are there, looking for someone to talk to in English, and they could be reached by a passionate online evangelist. Maybe someone can start an English class...and charge for it.

I tell you...its a huge potential. For me as a teacher, I already see how students can broadcast their writings and experiences and create classrooms online.

Skypecasting Broadens Knowledge

I started a Skpycast Chat titled 'Travel' mainly with the aim of filling in some of the spare time I had because it was raining, meeting, and chatting to people online where I had control, and also to sending people to visit my blogs and websites, and maybe even to purchase some of my Travel related Art.
I set up the Skypecast, and 20 minutes before the allocated time, set up Skype, and tried to work out, with no instructions, how to start the conference going.
I had no idea how to start the conference, and with a impending sense of dismay, watched the countdown to starting time.
The problem was solved by the first caller. I immediately answered, connected, and then started a conference call with a view to adding him on.
The calls started coming rather fast, and I answered them all, chatting away to whoever was online, and adding them to somewhere.
Next thing I realise, I have 15 pages open, one person on each page, and I also realised I was only literally speaking to one person at a time and puting the rest on hold, and I was not logged into my own chat.
They were all marvellously patient. They just waited. Then I focused on one conference line, and started moving callers one by one to this. Somewhere a message came along telling me I could only have a maximum of 4, but Skypecast claimed I could have up to 300, so I valiantly persisted.
Soon I have about 20 open pages and another 5 or 6 conference pages, and the phone is ringing and ringing, and I am now totally out of control.
The callers could all hear me speak, so I started a travel prattle, asking and trying to respond to questions, and also typing everything I said so those without mikes could also follow and also type responses back.
The first session went on for 90 minutes, and I then finished it, closed page after page, and finally the whole Skype, just top get off the Air.
The next evening, I decided I now knew what I was doing, so I went straight to the Start page, and tied to join my own chat.
This was not possible, so I went back to the previous method, of signing in, making myself publicly available, and starting a conference. As callers identified themselves, I kept adding them to the Conference page. I soon had bout 15 there and about half of those were able to speak to me and everybody could hear me.
I talked travel,kept questions going on the keyboard, and ran both, despite queries for video views, and sex.
The the sound ceased, and I closed the chat... the hour was up.
