The eight remaining members-Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn "Clown" Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor-each of whom is known for wearing their own grotesque mask. The band hails from Des Moines, Iowa.

Slipknot Remains Undecided About Future

What does the future hold for Slipknot? Since the May 24th passing of bassist Paul Gray - whose death was recently ruled an overdose due to a lethal combination of morphine and fentanyl - the group has been undecided about its future. In an interview with SonisphereFestivals.com, guitarist Jim Root gave fans an update:

"There's going to be a big healing process that needs to happen before we even think about whether or not Slipknot will continue. And right now, that's the furthest thing from our mind[s]." Adding, "Right now, we are just grieving or trying to find time to grieve, anyway, for the fact that our bro's gone. It's weird because some days I don't even think it's real, so that one's not going to make sense for a while."

But the show must go on...at least, for now. Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Root and the rest of Stone Sour - their side project - are gearing up for the release of Audio Secrecy on September 7th. But other than that, it seems doubtful that Slipknot will regroup within the next two years. We wish them well.
