BG company's bunny slippers show up on episode of Dancing With The Stars

A Bowling Green-based company got a thrill Monday night when *NSYNC singer Joey Fatone sported their bunny slippers on an episode of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

Runaway Rabbit owners and stay-at-home-moms-turned-entrepreneurs Gayla Warner and Laura Jones have been getting phone calls left and right from friends and business associates who saw Fatone's fluffy footwear on the show, which pairs celebrities with professional dancers. Warner and Jones are on vacation and didn't catch the show, but that isn't stopping them from being excited anyway, Warner said.

"The cool thing is that people from all walks and all steps of life love bunny slippers," she said. "We are just thrilled beyond words - you have no idea. I can't stand it."

Warner isn't sure how Fatone came upon their slippers, although she does remember sending out some orders recently to entertainment companies.

Funny how some clothing or shoes you buy and you might not even get the tags off of them. You own things you've worn maybe two or three times at best.

And then there are those items that you love with all your heart. Things that get ratty and worn before you agree that they can go out in the trash.

It breaks my heart to have to throw out my bunnies. They were a gift from Toonces one day when we had to run an errand in the dreaded Wal-mart. Caleb was with us. It was Thanksgiving day actually. Caleb was well behaved in the store so we bought him a treat. I was well behaved in the store so Toonces bought me these as a treat. I'm serious. Now I've worn them out. I want T to go back and buy me some new ones so they will be as special.

I may be holding on to these holey ones for a long time.
