Mobile phones have become the primary means of communication for many people all over the world. The internet, too, connects more people to each other than previously thought possible. Everyday people are finding new ways to transform their world using new communications technologies. This project, SMS Activism, or SMactivism, will be my personal research hub as I explore ways in which these technologies are used in the context of social and environmental activism.
