Small Bathroom Pictures to Inspire You

Here's a small bathroom picture with a number of good ideas you can use in your own bathroom.

The large mirror which comes right down to the vanity counter, and stretches wall-to-wall, immediately makes the room feel twice as big to anyone standing in it. Slight downside is that guys have to face up to themselves when using the WC.

Pictures on the wall make this feel like a "real room", not just a utility space. The background wall color is also a "real room" color and makes a very good backdrop for the pictures.

The vanity counter stretches across the top of the WC, making the line along the wall longer and smoother which gives a more spacious feel, and adding storage and display space. if you plan on building something like this, be sure to make it removable if you need to access the top of the tank for maintenance.

The tile vanity top has a slightly raised edge to catch spills before they hit the floor - very practical - and a subtle decorative touch in the backsplash with the small colored tiles. The wood floor and wood vanity also blend nicely together.

Here's a very tiny bathroom where it looks like the whole room is the shower area, like on a boat - see the floor drain and the shower curtain which pulls across the room door. The decor is very plain so any change in the accessories has immediate impact. A bold colored or patterned shower curtain would change the feel of the whole room, and you could easily ring the changes by changing curtains.

Slightly more work but still quick and easy in a room this size would be to change the wall color above the tiles.

This beautifully finished white, black and gray bathroom is almost a blank slate for color in the shape of fabric and accessories. The tile band in shades of gray is elegant, and the geometric look - squares and circles - is very consistent.

With no shower curtain rod in view over the tub, maybe there won't be a shower curtain in this room which adds to the geometric minimalist style. It may be difficult to keep the minimalist look, though, once the room is in everyday use, as there doesn't seem to be much space for hiding away the paraphenalia of everyday life like toothbrushes.

Now here's a small bathroom which definitely isn't a blank slate. The shiny brick red mosaic tiles are very assertive but the amount of white means that they are not overpowering, and the variety of shades included in the mosaic give a lot of subtle movement to the surface.

Both the WC and the vanity are raised up off the floor, leaving the floor clear to the walls so more of it is visible and the space feels larger. Even the cleaning brush on the floor is tall and slimline, made of elegant stainless steel instead of boring plastic, and adds to the look instead of detracting from it.

There's no closed storage visible in this shot, though a fair mount of open display in the niche over the WC. No mirror over the vanity is an unusual choice.
