What is the difference between a small business credit card and a regular credit card?

Small Business credit card Vs. Regular credit card

Here some features a small business credit card may have that a regular one don't
* Higher credit lines
* Better accounting and statements
* Additional cards for employees with spending limits
* Automatic bill payment options
* Points and rewards on typical business expenditures like travel, printing supplies, restaurants etc..
* The ability to keep tour business and personal debt separate

Sometimes a regular credit card will make sense more than a business credit card. Really it depends on the type of business you are in. For instance lets say that you are an over the road trucker - owner/operator. It will do you no good to earn money back on airline tickets and printing supplies. Your best bet would probably be a gas rebate credit card. The thing to remember is to keep your personal credit cards separate from your business credit cards

The Best Small Business Credit Card

The best small business credit card is one that is well researched.

There are some things you as a consumer should know about the websites that claim to compare credit cards. Credit card companies do not allow their advertisers to say anything defamatory or alert consumers to some discrepancies in their "terms of service". Consider these sites just big advertising billboards that give you no real insight.

The first step you should taken in your business card research is to figure out what type of rewards or money back rebates that would help your business the most. Search google for credit cards that offer the best rewards. Then, check the terms of service carefully on the the credit card application page. Next, search google again for the brand of card you chose along with the word "complaints".

There are some big name companies out there that go out of their way to rip off consumers.

Now that you have done your research you can make a well informed educated decision on which small business credit card is best for you.

Small Business Credit Card Applications

What to Expect on your Small Business Credit Card Applications

A lot of people think is okay to go online and fill out one credit card application after another, until they get accepted for one. This action can show up negatively on your credit report as too many inquiries, and make card issuers squirrelly about giving you a credit line. There are also questions on a business credit card application, you should be aware of ; Name of Business, number of employees, type of business, tax identification number, and annual revenue.

Secured Business Credit Cards

Secured Business Credit Cards may be the best solution for small businesses with no credit.

Secured Business Credit cards are ones that require collateral. Collateral would be like $1000 for a $1000 credit line. The card issuer would deposit the $1000 collateral in a special account so if you do not pay your monthly bill, they can collect the money from the collateral. Usually there is a small monthly or yearly fee for secured business credit cards. The important thing here is to make sure the card issuer reports to the credit bureaus, so you can build your credit. For a secured business credit card usually the best place to look is at your local bank.

Guaranteed Small Business Credit Cards

Guaranteed Small Business Credit Cards for Bad Credit

Quite frankly, I have looked at many guaranteed small business credit card offers, and have not found a decent guaranteed credit card. Usually they require many fees, high aprs, for low credit lines. If you are considering one of these cards be sure to read between the lines and know all the fees associated with them. It is not uncommon to see $259 worth of charge for a low $300 credit line. For this reason I would recommend you to seek a secured credit card
