Let me tell you why I think small dog breeds are the best dogs to have:

1. They are small and easy to look after. Really! Even if they have "long hair" they are so small it only takes a few minutes to brush.

2. Small breeds don't eat much. This is great because it saves money when you buy them food. And also it means you have less to clean up when they do "their business"!

3. You can leave small dogs with friends and family much more easily if you want to take a trip. Dog kennels are beastly, and there is no way I would leave one of my beloved dogs at a kennel with some stranger. If I had a big dog I would have no other choice, but because my dog is so small it's easy to look after and leave with other people.
