Before you start any work on your bathroom you're going to need to get some ideas together. The first thing you should do is get to know your bathroom as it is now and making a scale drawing of it on squared graph paper will come in very handy later on. The next thing you need is inspiration. You need to gather together some ideas for your new bathroom and this is where I got stuck for a long time. I just couldn't decide what it was I wanted. Even worse, I couldn't even figure out how to get any ideas. The turning point for me on this was when I started to make an effort to go and see some real bathrooms that had been recently remodeled.
