Small Gas Grills - Where Size Does Count
All you need to know about small gas grills.
The first thing you need to do before you consider buying a small gas grill is, understand the space you have available to use it. Yes, what sort of space do you have in that area whether it is a patio, balcony, courtyard garden, roof top, or whatever you get the idea. Remember you need to add extra space for standing and moving around it too.
Next pay attention to where you will be storing the grill when not in use. They do need to be stored somewhere safe and dry. Leave them outside for extended periods and this will be detrimental to their performance.
Have a quick think about how many people in general you will be cooking for. Is it mostly for you and your partner? 2 couples maybe? or up to 6 people, then bear all of this in mind when you are getting carried away by the cuteness of the really small gas grills, that willonly grill one baby prawn at a time.
And finally, take into account whether or not you will be taking your grill out with you on trips to the park, beach or just over to friends houses. You need to know whether you have room in your car/auto for this, or if using public transport, whether your small gas grill can be carried easily.
One of the first things you should do after buying your small gas grill is register it with the manufacturer, there are a few resons you should do this.
1. You invoke your 1 year or extended guarantee. So many people forget to do this, and yes sometimes things can go wrong with them.
2. The manufacturer will usually keep you updated on latest parts and accessories available for your gas grill.
3. Probably the most important is in case there is a call back or re-call on your small gas grill or any part of it. This applies to all grills, small, big, cheap, expensive. It is rare but can happen to any product you buy. Re calls are not bad in fact they are good and show that the manufacturer listens to complaints and issues about their product and is willing to take the responsible step of doing something about it. So look at re-calls as positive and you will of course always get a full refund or a brand new replacement.
Maintaining your small gas grill. Gas grills not matter what size need to be maintained. This will not only ensure that your grill works as it should, but it also goes a long way to extending the life of your grill. This is especially important if you buy a less expensive grill, as sometime the parts are not as durable as the more expesive. (Now this is not always
the case) but since you have invested time effort and money in choosing your gas grill, then a little effort into making sure you get the most out of it isn't going to kill you. You will be rewarded with endless hours of fun grilling.
Covering your grill. It always amazes me how people invest time and emotion in choosing their small gas grill, but then when it comes to it they won't use a grill cover to help keep it in tip top condition. This saves you money in the long run as it will help maintain your grill and it will last so much longer.
Would you leave your indoor grill out in the rain, sun, snow, hail? I hope not. So you don't even have to buy one, you can make one at home out of plastic sheeting, plastic garbage bags. An old blanket covered with plastic (to help weight it down). This not only protects it from the weather, but also from outdoor life, you know those bugs and worms that love to find places where food has been, and yummy bar b q sauces has been spilt, to move into and raise their families!! Now if that doesn't persuade you to cover your small grill then hey nothing will.
Gas or Charcoal Powered. Though Charcoal is gaining popularity, 60% of small gas grills sold are still gas. Why? Well if you have ever tried lighting a charcoal bar b q and getting it warm in less than several hours you would know the answer to this question. They can be a nightmare at short notice, so if you wake up one day and its lovely weather out, you need to get the bar b q going straight away in preparation for an afternoon grill. You can't just pick up the phone and invite friends over for soe healthy grilled outdoor food at a whim. So while it might seem a more romantic idea, my vote is alway go for gas.
Asseccories for Small Gas Grills. There are plenty of accessories available for you to chose from. But you don't need any of them, no you don't. If you have the budget go ahead and spend away. Your food will cook fine without that cute grilling apron, or those small gas grill meat tongs, or the beer holder (well maybe not without the beer holder). But one thing you should either buy or improvise is a cover for your small gas grill.
Happy Grilling.

Small Gas Grills Cheap or Expensive
How Much Should I Pay
Well over 60% of grills bought are mid range $200-$500 dollars. Is a more expensive grill better. Well sometimes is the answer. Sometmes though you are just paying more money for extra's like can opener and beer holder etc.
The parts can be sturdier on the more expensive grill. But in my opinion if you maintain a less expensive one well, then this will have a huge impact on how long those parts last.
Do your research, read feedback from other useres. Small gas grills have been around a long time, and there are plenty of reviews out there available from existing users. These are invaluable. Make use of them.

Cooking Great Steak On A Small Gas Grill
BIG TASTES FROM YOUR SMALL GAS GRILL
One of the most rewarding and wonderful eating experiences is that of a beautifully cooked steak, shared with friends, on a lovely day in the garden.
Steak is one of the easiest meats to get wrong. Given the expense, it is such a waste when it turns out bad. But if you just follow some simple guidelines, you should get the steak you want and at an affordable price.
You do not have to go for the most expensive steak, a cheaper cut grilled properly can taste just as good. Ask your butcher, if you do not have a local one, then most of the super markets have in house butchers available to advise you, so make use of their expertise. But go for a mid priced cut, often more tasty and they do not have to be more chewy. The selection is a very important part so put a little effort into it and you will reap the rewards.
Now to the grilling. Make sure your grill is super hot before you attempt to put your steak on it. I am talking smoking hot here. You should see blue coming up from your grill. Then slap your steak on, keep the heat up very high for this bit, and sear it on both sides. Searing, is when you seal the meat and lock all the juices inside. You need to do this very quickly or the juices will escape. So it only needs less than a minute a side on a burning hot grill.
That is it, the difficult part is now over, so grab a beer. You can now leave your steak to cook gently over a lower heat, until it is the way you want it. Enjoy.

Portable Small Gas Grills
Your Small Gas Grill On The Move
Almost everyone has experienced the joy of eating outside when the weather is good. There is just something special about cooking and eating out in the open. Maybe it comes from the fact that way back our ancestors ate under the stars. I have used gas grills for many years now, and the pleasure I get out of my portable gas grill never ends.
Not only can I use it in my own home for my family and friends but I take it with me on so many of our most memorable outings. Our grill is even featured in our family videos.
If you already have, or intend to get a portable gas grill, then do not just use it at home. You are missing out. I get so much more out of mine. If you get the right portable grill then it should be lightweight enough to easily carry around with you, and durable enough to withstand the knocks it gets when thrown around a bit and sometimes even sat on. So here are some ideas for you.
Take it with you when you go to friends. Even if they have their own grill, you will find that when they are having a gathering, there is always a need for another. Works great if you have strict vegetarians who do not like their vegetable grilled near meat.
Take it to the outdoor swimming baths, most now have a picnic area where you can set it up.
Take it to the beach and have a real beach barbeque.
Small Gas Grills love to go to the park, many parks have a cooking and eating area, it's great if you don't have a yard, or your yard is too small for a larger crowd.
Just throw it in the trunk of your car on a family outing, pull over when you find a great spot, and start cooking.
Not only does it save on the cost of meals when you are out and about, but is far more fun and at least you know what you are eating and where it has been cooked.
