Smallville Season 8 Episode 2 Plastique

As you probably know, this episode is all about Clark starting a new job at the Daily Planet. And you probably know, that he gets teamed up with Lois Lane.

As you know, CW gives us a behind the scenes look at every new Smallville episode. Anyway, in this clip, we get to see Dooms day and how he is introduced. (Not sure if they will use it, but who knows when it comes to CW)

The CW's Official Description (Added 9/5/08): TDC COMICS CHARACTER PLASTIQUE BLASTS INTO METROPOLIS; DAVIS BLOOME ARRIVES IN SMALLVILLE - It's Clark's (Tom Welling) first day at the Daily Planet with Louis (Erica Durance), and the pair are immediately thrown together on a story when a bus explodes outside the office. Clark rescues Bette (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy), a young girl who bonds with Chloe (Allison Mack) over their shared meteor abilities, but Bette is hiding a big secret. Paramedic Davis Bloom (Sam Witwer) arrives in Metropolis and is drawn to Chloe.

UPDATED 7/9/08: Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello has revealed that we may have a Chloe/Doomsday/Jimmy love triangle brewing. Also, regarding Lois and Clark at the Daily Planet: "There will be a lot more comedy this season, courtesy of those new adventures Lois and Clark will be embarking on."

UPDATED 7/7/08: Bette has a connection to Level 33.1 or something very much like it.
- Roles now being cast, in addition to the role of Bette, include the following: Security Agent, Young Cop, Medic, Tommy, Clerk, and two CSI's.

UPDATED 7/4/08: This episode will explore Clark's first day on his new job and his teaming with Lois.

UPDATED 7/3/08: "Plastique" does indeed involve Bette Sans Souci, the character from the DC Comics universe. In this version she is a "15 year old street kid" who is injured in an explosion, and Chloe asks her to move in. (Thanks to S.A.M. for that tip!)
- Contrary to some reports that Chloe will be serving time for a while... in actuality, Chloe will no longer be incarcerated by the time this episode happens.
- Justin Hartley (Oliver) and Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy) do not appear in this episode.

UPDATED 7/2/08: This episode will explore Clark's first day on his new job and his teaming with Lois.
- The character of paramedic Davis Bloom makes his first appearance in this episode, and he interacts primarily with Chloe.
