Ever Project: The Smartest Backlinks Ever

I love the Ever Project. It's a great source of backlinks for Squidoo lenses because Google and other search engines see it as separate domain to Squidoo. A further advantage is that Google will only show one lens from any domain (eg Squidoo) in search results for any term but as .ever.com lenses are in a separate domain, you can have a total of 4 Squidoo lenses in Google results, two from Squidoo and two from the Ever Project.

What is the Ever Project?

The Ever Project is one of several Squidoo co-brands. In addition to the well-known squidoo.com front-page, there are other front pages such as SquidZip, SquidWho and SquidBoo. Lenses can be created at all of these and will get the special theme for that front page. They co-brands also have thier own front pages - another great place to get your lens listed rather than competing for the limited places on the main Squidoo front page. In fact, a Squidoo co-branded lens, such as one on SquidWho, could make to the front of SquidWho and the front of Squidoo. That's great for traffic.

The co-brands all create normal lenses with a squidoo.com/your-len=name type adress - apart from the Ever Project which creates lenses with an ever.com address.

My Ever Project Lenses

My Ever.com Lensography

I have several Ever Project lenses and keep adding to the list to support my other lenses. Some of them occasionally do well in their own right. As I write this, I have one that is on Tier 1 with decent traffic and another which ranks #2 on Google on it's search term. Because of the redirections to Squidoo within Ever lenses, Google doesn't whole-heartedly love them as much as normal lenses so they generally make better support lenses, but they can still do pretty well.
