Prove To Me There's a Smarter Religion Than No Religion At All

I understand many people disagree, and say that it's smart to be religious.

If you're one of those who say it's smart to be religious, then prove it to me. Don't just make an unfounded statement of faith. Do it the smart way. Make a rational argument to convince me that it's smarter to be religious than non-religious.

There's a lot to be said for having a religion you don't take seriously... and that's why the Church of the SubGenius is awesome! You make it up as you go along, and all that matters is if you've paid your $30. (When was the last time any religion was so cheap, mm?)

A nicely presented informative and at times hilariously funny page. (I shouldn't laugh as blind faith is a frightening thing and the concept of a deity who knows you personally even more frightening)

wow...looks like the Lord needs to pay you a visit...
you know, using your mind you will never find the Lord, and the Bible even tells us we need to use our human spirit. It is the one that you have that is dead right now, but it can be regenerated by the Lord's mercy. Fools can read the Bible with their mind and get nothing, believers can read the Bible with their spirit and get everything. You have no true joy in your life nor peace...I don't say that to be mean, it is just the truth, which by the way is not determined by you or me, but by God. He is truth and tells us so in John 14:6. Someone once asked a believer to describe what peace is and this one just kind of stammered around for a minute and then said something like, "peace is when you are happy with life and have an even temperament..." The one asking said, "peace is Christ"...He doesn't give you a little package that says peace on it and you unwrap it and eat it to have peace...peace is Christ Himself who offers Himself...
