My Favorite Alton Brown Recipies
- Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing Recipe
- This is the Spinach Salad recipe that convinced my boyfriend to eat spinach. I eat it just as the recipe states (sometimes without mushrooms) and said boyfriend eats it with just spinach, bacon and dressing--both ways it is delicious. I've also made it by substituting Olive Oil for the Bacon Fat--not quite the same, but still yummy and much better for you.
- Brown Rice Crispy Bar Recipe
- I love regular rice crispy bars, but I think I might like these better. I couldn't find puffed brown rice so I used Kashi's 7 whole grain puffs instead. I also substituted Canola oil for the flax oil which tastes better and doesn't require the double boiler work. Finally we used Pecans as our nuts-- delicious!
