SmartWool Socks - Treat Your Feet to Comfort

For years I had a running contest with my sister-in-law on who could give each other the ugliest socks for Christmas. We hunted and scoured the malls in every town we visited throughout the year in search of the worst of the worst. I wish I'd kept photos. The worst (or should I say winner) was an over the knee, red sock with tinsel strands running through them and ugly, itchy pom poms sewed on throughout. That was the last  year of the ugly sock contest - in following years we worked on finding each other the best socks ever made - and it was the SmartWool socks that caught us both by surprise - never having known that socks could be functional, beautiful and comfortable all in the same pair.

It was Kate who gifted me with the first pair of SmartWool socks. She said she'd fallen in love with the whole line and that I just had to try them to believe it.

The socks are made by SmartWool and I've since decided that collecting a pair for every use is my new mission -- and all I want for Christmas this year. How on earth I could ever get so excited to talk about a pair of socks, and publicly at that, is beyond me. After all, last year I would have said, "Big deal, socks are socks, I've been putting htem on my feet for 40 years and never had a favorite yet." I've certainly changed my tune and so might you, once you spend a day in your own SmartWool socks.
