About Smile Liberia
Smile Liberia International, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, NC. Smile Liberia was formed to provide much needed educational assistance to impoverished kids, including ex-child soldiers, and orphans of war-ravished Liberia.
It was formed under the theme of "bringing smiles to the needy" by providing them with access to quality education.

Why Smile Liberia Assits...
Smile Liberia executes its mission by providing primary school children in the poorest parts of Liberia, as well as ex-child soldiers and orphans with much needed educational incentives such as: school supplies, textbooks, school building and renovations, scholarships, playgrounds, uniforms and clothing, etc.
Liberia has an illiteracy rate of approximately 80%; about 60% of this number comes from children and youth in the poorest parts of the country. Additionally, 61% of school-age children are out of school due to poverty and the consequences of almost 15 years of war in the country.
