Nature and Landscape Photography

These are some of the different photographs that I have taken of nature, animals, and landscapes. They were all taken with my Fuji Film camera, I don't have a camera with interchangeable lenses yet but soon I plan to purchase one. There are also some different websites I have found useful in learning things about photography and different techniques.

My favorite lenses

Gardening lense
I created this lens and hope you will check it out. It is about my experiences in gardening and some of the different things I am trying out. It isn't about tomato plants or growing carrots so don't get bummed out yet. It's the more interesting side (in my opinion), it is about decorative plants such as bonsai trees and rosebushes that can be made in to household plant decorations.

A few experiences.

A photo of myselfI haven't tried to do much profitable photography yet; I am mostly trying to build a portfolio. Most of what I have taken is of nature scenes, landscapes, and animals. I find nature photography very rewarding, if you see the pictures I have of the deer. The deer were no more than 50 feet from me and weren't any more scared of me than I was of them. They just looked at me trying to figure out what I was doing. It was about 5 straight minutes of shooting before they finally got spooked and got up. They still didn't move fast or feel threatened because they were hardly walking as they left. Another of my favorite sessions was the sunset session I had. If you see a few of the sunset pictures you can see why I enjoyed it, it was beautiful. I stayed there for about an hour just admiring the nature and the beauty around me, snapping pictures of anything that caught my eye. I think I had around 150 pictures by the time the sun was gone. If you have any ideas for me or new things for me to try just leave me some comments below.

The level of experience that I have

I have never had any real photography training although I would love to someday. I started taking pictures with a simple Sony digital camera nothing fancy just the plain and simple, point and shoot camera. Never using anything very expensive until recently. About 3 months ago I received a Fuji Film Finepix camera as a gift. It isn't a very expensive camera as far as photography goes, around $200. When I get enough money I am planning on buying a Nikon D3000 or D3100. The D3000 cost about $460 and the D3100 is about 600-700. At college right now I am taking two classes that focus on Photoshop and they are extremely helpful. The better of the two is called Digital Imaging. It focuses mainly on real pictures and how to enhance them and make them look better or how to mix two pictures together and make them look realistic. They are very rewarding classes so if you like photography and doing things with photos then consider taking them you might enjoy them more than you think. Also if you love nature try taking a camera with you and see what you can do with it you might really be surprised!

Hi, awesome pictures you have here! I am new also but I can give you a small bit of advice. I think you should feature the camera that you took your pictures with in the Amazon Spotlight Review Module. Seems perfect for this kind of lens. You are a great photographer. My favorite is the squirrel.
