Tips to quit smoking
- Tell the people (friends, relatives, co-workers) that you want to stop smoking. This consolidates your internal belief, to show to others that you can do it. Maybe you find somebody, which is also willing to smoking. You could do it together.
- Look for an activity that keeps your thoughts away from cigarettes. Take away all smoke-utensils in your surroundings and try to avoid situations where you used to smoke.
- Try to drink more. Try out new juices and water. Always place a bottle of water at the bed as well.
- Grant yourself a reward from the saved money that you normally would have spent on cigarettes.
- Leave the house, enjoy the fresh air and try to do more sports. Try jogging or Nordic-Walking, you do something good for your endurance and shape as well. This can prevent weight gain.
- Eat healthier, balanced food like fruit and vegetables.
- If possible avoid situations in your everyday life, where you always have smoked. Instead of a cup of coffee rather drink a cup of tea.
- If the desire for a cigarette overcomes you, try to dedicate your whole attention to a nice activity. Avoid thoughts about smoking, it doesn't help you, if you think about how good a smoke would feel right now. The desire for a cigarette lasts only a short time.
- Keep an eye on the reaction of your body to the withdrawal. You will have typical withdrawal symptoms. Your body signals you that it is well on the way to recovering from the burdens of smoking and it cleans itself. These symptoms will vanish after a short period of time.
- The desire for a cigarette is one of the first things that they will sense, if you stop smoking. This feeling remains a few minutes and vanishes again. This phase occurs less in the course of time until it vanishes almost completely. Nicotine patches and nicotine chewing gum, as well as your doctor, can support you to quit smoking.
- Even if you have a relapse, don't give up. Look for the reason why you didn't stick with your good intentions and reached for a cigarette. Revise your intentions and try it again.

- We are, of course, all unique so it's fantastic for smokers wishing to quit that there is so much help, advice and support available. After many failed attempts,I finally managed to stop smoking with hypnotherapy.
