The Impact of Smoking
You don't smoke? That does not mean that you are not at risk of developing diabetes due to smoke exposure. It is often downplayed that the same risk of smoke inhalation exists for exposure to second-hand smoke too.
Firthly, smoking or exposure to second-hand smoke affects both your liver and your pancreas. Any changes in their function over time will affect how your body produces and uses its insulin. It is but one small step from these pancreatic function changes to an increased risk of pre-diabetes and diabetes.
Secondly, and very directly, smoking affects the oxygen-carrying ability of your blood and ups your chances of developing chronic metabolic acidosis, an almost certain predictor of diabetes or cancer. The bottom line is that lack of oxygen in your many tissues and functions will as severely impact your body's function as a dirty carburetor will reduce your car's performance.
Thirdly, there are other considerations if you smoke or are exposed to second-hand smoke: Smoking builds up unacceptable levels of toxins in your body and brain, such as cadmium, lead, and many other addictive substances. Most of these toxins are stored in your fatty tissue-indefinitely.
These toxins are cumulative and your increasing toxin levels will contribute to a general slow-down of healthy body functions. Most importantly, these toxins break down your body's immune system response. It is simple, the longer you smoke the lower becomes your body's ability to fight disease.
The bottom line is that smoking harmfully influences the way your body absorbs its nutrients. It plunges your body into an overall state of nutrient deficiency.

along with Exercise!
Smoking Affects Your Mineral Balance
If toxins build up faster than they can be removed your minerals burn out and never get a chance to do what they are designed for, namely to promote your hormone and enzyme production.
Little wonder, that hormone-related problems, such as erectile dysfunction, low testosterone levels, and infertility are becoming so wide-spread and are being linked to smoking and other lifestyle factors.
A lack of minerals, mineral imbalances, and toxins ALWAYS result in serious disease sooner or later; most of them affecting your metabolism.
If you smoke -- or someone you know smokes -- get help to stop. But realize that stopping to smoke should go hand-in-hand with other lifestyle changes, especially when it comes to food choices, an individualized supplement regimen, and exercise.
"Looking to start a Family?
Mother & FATHER must be
SMOKE-FREE for a
healthy BABY!"
Addiction Starts BEFORE Birth!
The Parents' Health at Conception is Key!
We often talk about the importance of the mother's health when it comes to family planning. Certainly, what a mother eats, or doesn't eat, during pregnancy is hugely important. -- However, fathers do contribute significantly to this first spark of life. The quality of the male sperm reflects the health of the father at that time. Wouldn't you want to have your baby get the best start to life?
The basis of all life is a proper mineral balance. Parents who are not ultimately healthy -- particularly with todays' fast-food and soft drink craze -- are deficient in nutrients and minerals; and full of toxins. These deficiencies do not suddenly disappear in the new life! In short, such a yet unborn fetus already is destined to start with a deficit.
Therefore, PLAN! Sobber Up! Dry Up! Get Smoke-Free!
Do whatever you need to do months before you start that family and give your future son or daughter a headstart on a healthy and addiction-free life!
