Smooth Away Review

I'm a big fan of yard sales, so when I recently found Smooth Away hair removal at one, I decided for $2.00 (verses $9 at wal-mart) to give it a shot. Hey, I'm not willing to spend a huge price for something I know nothing about, and I'm certainly not shy about allowing someone else to do it for me!

Smooth Away's Expectations

One of the biggest enticements this product had was its ability to remove the hair from my legs without the use of a razor. My legs are very sensitive and any time that I shave, they tend to get very irritated and often bleed from shaving. Not to mention that my legs tend to get very dry, especially during the winter months. So the idea of sanding away the hair and dry skin on my legs was actually very intriguing.

Shaving on Amazon

Forget about Smooth Away, I'm sticking with my original shaving products for now!

Smooth Away -Less Than Impressed

Needless to say I was less than impressed with this product. This as Seen on TV beauty attraction was nothing as it was described from the packaging. First and foremost, it took me a good 45 minutes to remove the hair from one leg. So at first I thought, Hey, for those of us who have time to spend at least two hours shaving, it might be okay.

But then the real deal blower was the fact that not even 8 hours later the hair was already growing back! My once smoothed legs were stubbly and icky feeling before I went to bed that night!

Smooth Away on a Positive Note

Okay, so I must admit one positive thing out of this entire review. Smooth Away did leave me with silky soft legs and a little less dry skin for a few hours. Maybe it would be good for areas like the face where there's less work involved? Who knows, but in my opinion, this product is certainly not worth its price no matter where it is purchased!
