Who is John Paul Jones?
John Paul Jones was born January 3, 1946 with the given name John Baldwin. He was born into a family of musicians. His father, Joe Baldwin, taught Jones to play piano at the young age of six.
Jones played with the Deltas at the age of 15. Then joined Jet Black. His first break came when he was signed to play with The Shadows. Jones is most widely known as the bass guitarist (also keyboard and mandolin) for Led Zeppelin.

- Robert Plants' vocals does it for me. Many of the Zeppelin songs are a bit on the odd side for my taste, but to hear Plant sing, I'll listen to them anyhow. He makes them all "good."

- I don't know about the smoothest but they sure are the best... I guess the best in rock covers the smoothest... but the word smooth reminds me of fleetwood mac more than LZ. thanks for the lens :)
