The Smurfs, The Smurfiest Cartoon Ever
The Smurfs are the blue three apple tall creatures who make their home in their Smurf village made from mushroom homes. The leader of the Smurfs is Papa Smurf who is 542 years old. They live a peaceful happy life with the exception of the troubles caused by Gargamel, a wizard who spends his time trying to catch Smurfs to eat or do other sinister deeds too. Gargamels is accompanied by his cat, Azrael who prefers hunting Smurfs to mice.
The Smurfs became famous in the United States in the 1980's thanks to the animated television series by Hanna Barbera Productions.

Papa Smurf is the leader of the Smurfs. He is the third oldest Smurf at age 542, the only older Smurfs are Grandpa and Nanny Smurf. On The Smurfs, Papa Smurf's voice was played by Don Messick.Papa Smurf is a great leader of the Smurfs. He is kind, wise, and acts as a father figure to the other Smurfs.

Strangely, there is only one female Smurf, and that is Smurfette. In the fictional world of the Smurfs, Gargamel the sorcerer is the sworn enemy of the Smurfs. He is an evil wizard, though his powers appear very limited; he actually seems to be more of an alchemist as his main ability is to create magic potions.
