Snapdragons by the Fishpond

Snapdragons have long been one of my favorite flowers, I started some from seeds many years ago, planted them here and there around the yard.
They reseed fairly well and have spread some, now they have become naturalized in several areas of my yard, including around the edge into the fishpond.

Snapdragons have even taken over a half wine barrel container that I keep next to the greenhouse door as a small composting catchall, the plants there started from cutting that I tossed in as compost, they rooted instead and are now a huge ball of snapdragons, that starts blooming in late march and continues til the first freezes of winter come along. I couldn't have planned it better if I had tried.

Many other plants have naturalized around the yard and especially around the fishpond, including California poppies, alyssums, catnip and many others.
