Snap Music is a sub-genre of Hip-Hop dance music that's being pioneered by Atlanta based rap groups such as D4L, Dem Franchize, and the Ying Yang Twinz. Snap Music is charaterized by minimalist production that rests on a snap sound that's apart of the percussion. Snap is also seen as a low key alternative to the more frenetic sound of Atlanta's Crunk Music.
How To Do The Snap Music Dance

When the "snap" sound happens in the music, you should snap your fingers along with it. Inbetween snaps, you lean back alternatively to the left and right, and freeze at the snap as if your photo is being taken.
You can add flair to the dance by doing a shimmy instead of a lean, or by making your snap and freeze more dramatic.
