Social Bookmarking is the latest and biggest buzzword and goes hand in hand with social networking which is definitely the way ahead. The evidence of this is obvious as all the big serps like google and yahoo are buying up the bigger social networking sites.
Please feel free to let me know what is your biggest headache when it comes to social bookmarking
I think bookmarking is sometimes adding to the laziness.I doubt do people read the sites they bookmark atleast I do not do that.may be 2 out of 10 times I look back at the bookmarked sites.otherwise I always prefer to Google again

I have just got started putting a few sites up on the net and have heard quite a bot about social bookmarking, but don't really understand it completely although this lens has been a great help. Is there a guide or course you could recommend? Posted June 18, 2008 |

Could you give us something generic to help with tagging? Quite a few Social Bookmarking sites provide widgets (is that the right word?) to add to the Toolbar. The trouble is that quite soon you need a large number of these creating so many Toolbars that the usable screen area for browsing becomes badly reduced. Posted June 18, 2008 |

I've found that social bookmarking has become a vital part of how I promote my lenses and websites. I've also been trying to convince more new lensmasters/webmasters to use social bookmarking for their own promotion. Posted May 27, 2008 |

I have been trying to use social bookmarking for my vacation sites but not having much success and do not really have the time to create all the accounts so hopefully whatever you are doing will help with that Posted March 19, 2008 |

The Best Bookmarking Sites If you are looking for a technology related environment, then Slashdot.com is the right place for you. It is one of the original social bookmarking sites. They offer authentic information and filter out the content that you are allowed to post. It has a professional feel and has a user friendly interface.
If you want to save your time and effort, Popurls.com is the place for you. This website combines material from about two dozen social bookmarking sites. That offers the users a unique advantage. Even though it has a blue-on-black layout that makes it difficult to read, the vastness of its reach makes it worth your while.
Another technology related site is Simpy.com. It allows you to tag bookmarks created by others. You can also save others bookmarks to your own list. This website also allows you to go to others links. However, it is not very user friendly and difficult to navigate.

Thanks for the great lens. It's nice to see other people agree with me on your poll... I hate setting up all those bookmarking profiles! It is definitely worth the trouble though. Posted May 27, 2008 |
