If you want to improve your internet presence or build your network online, the best way to go is learn the online social networking. Social networking is commonly defined as linking to people on the web that share your affiliation, interest, or your passion.

Understanding Online Social Networking 

Online social networking is relatively easy because all you need to do is create a profile, identify your interests and join various networks to start meeting people with same interest as yours. And don't ever think that social networking is for business people only because even students or any other individual can benefit and improve themselves if they build their network online.

Start Building Your Network 

The best thing about online social networking is that you can start doing it the way you like it and merge it to anything you have on the net! Social networkings make it easy for you to make friends with people or group of people you like.

If you have a blog you can utilize it as your starting point to build your network. Blogs nowadays are commonly used as official homepage where people introduce themselves, post their ideas and share themselves to the World Wide Web. As for me, I simply avail the free and great service of WordPress to host my official homepage .

Then, I created a profile in LinkedIn for me to find and link with the right people from my college, discover business opportunities and get advices from expert individuals. I also have a Twitter account to inform and update my colleagues about my recent whereabouts and activities.

Basically, my online social networking is still in developmental stage as I started building my network just recently and so far, I am having a blast exploring the limitless opportunities in social networking here in the Internet.
