Sock Bun Tutorial
Eight easy steps for creating a sophisticated hair bun with material from your sock drawer! Whether your hair is thin or short this trick fills out anemic buns beautifully. A sock bun creates a pulled together look even if you're style challenged or short on time. The sock bun helps you create various styles: top knot, side bun, classic chignon and more.
Sock Bun Instructions
Level of Difficulty: Easy
Things You'll Need:

Scissors
1 Tube Sock
1 Dress Sock (preferably silk)
Step One
Cut feet from both socks.
Step Two

From the cut end of the tube sock, roll sock toward it's opposite end until you've made a donut.
Step Three

Pull end over the donut.
Step Four
Thread dress sock through the center of the tube sock.
Step Five
Begin rolling dress sock over tube sock - starting with the cut end.
Step Six
Roll sock to the end.
Step Seven
Pull end of dress sock over the entire donut.
Step Eight
You're ready to make a hair bun!

- amazing, absolutely amazing. i was surfing to find a bun for my daughter's ballet, and happened upon this method. it took me 3 minutes to make it (10 mins. to find the scissors), and 3 minutes to make a perfect bun. thank you!
