DIY: Building a Solar Heater Out of Aluminum Cans
I personally like the use of panels because they are portable. They can be used if you have an apartment, or a house. Although a house would probably be easier to heat because you would be more likely to have more well placed windows and entrances for the heat. In my case I will be making a solar powered cabin over the next few months. This cabin will not be connected to electricity at all and all of the extra solar pv panels will be added to my mothers house neighboring my tiny house. And I will be making it a project to make her trailer house more efficient to the point of having her electric meter roll backwards. But that will be covered on my personal site Kreative Kubits. I have also included rss feeds from Kreative Kubits.

This is basically the same principle but putting it on a passive solar panel installed on a southward facing wall. I've also see variations of this where you can put a piece of tin sheet metal for a building on a wall that is facing the sun, paint it black and leave no insulation between just vent holes that can be covered at night when the opposite effect would take place. In passive solar heating you can think of covering the vent hole as the same concept as putting an electric diode after the photo-volactic cell. A diode is an electric device that is used to prevent the backflow of electricity. Much like a one way water valve or similar device. If you were to leave a solar panel using PV cells attached to your electrical circuit. You would actually lose electricity at night.
