- We recycle a lot of old clothing, shoes, household goods, books, school items etc. to families we know in Papua New Guinea. Trash to us is treasure to them.

- I really should donate my Crocs. They are more than 5 years old and very smooth on the bottom! Not safe on wet surfaces at all any more. Thanks for the great info on this worthwhile program.

- Good on Crocs for doing this. It keeps your old Crocs out of the landfill and helps kids. Seriously, I've seen video of poor starving kids climbing around in junkyards looking for recyclables to sell, they have no shoes on and they're going to get their feet cut and get infected. This will help.

- This is a brilliant idea, reminds me of TOMS shoe program. We need to do more of this charitable donating of items that our kids outgrow (or we don't need). Great to see this has a purple star! Congrats!

- Yes, I was, until I saw your announcement that the program had been discontinued. So sad. I'm not a fan of plastic anything, but a certain style of Crocs has saved my feet and legs from crippling pain, so I wear them routinely. I've been looking for a way to recycled them. Congrats on your 2008 charity win!

- I think this is an excellent program and I hope it works out as planned. The problem with the mass popularity of this product is that millions of pairs of Cros are going to wind up in the landfill and I assume, like plastic garbage bags, they're not going to break down...

- Nice lens !
Im a huge crocs fan, I read in www.croxmania.com if i recall right about their effort to make a change. I think that besides recycling and donation the company stands out being carrying. Call it "Karmatic-Marketing" what comes around goes around.
its nice of them to do these things...too bad so many other companies see only money.
