Solid Gold Dog Food

In March 2007 Menu Foods recalled over 150 brands of pet food, including dog food.

Menu Foods supplied wheat gluten and rice protein concentrates to these dog food companies to use in their food. The glutens were contaminated with Melamine. Melamine is not labeled for human or animal consumption. It is used in plastics, and as fertilizer among other things.

The Melamine was put into the glutens by 2 Chinese companies (who have since been prosecuted)to increase the protein levels in the foods.

The end result was, dogs and cats were poisoned with this. Many died of kidney failure and many more were sickened.
