Sherlocks: "A new English style restaurant, Sherlocks, has opened in Champions Gate. We all had the English meat pie which is really chunks of beef cooked in a Guiness sauce then covered with a sheet of pie dough. It was excellent! They have about 8-12 entrees. The hours are 12-9 weekdays and 11-10 Fri, Sat, Sun. Go into Champions Gate. Make a right at McDonald's and it is in the building directly behind McDonald's, facing the road. It's something different." Rosie of Solivita

"Wonderful menu, decor and service. I love their slow-braised pot roast, the wonderful little loaves of bread and have always had great meals there." - Ginger A of Solivita

Opened the end of Nov. 2010. The menu is delicious..Ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken and much, much more. The sides are wonderful..barbeque beans, corn bread, potato salad, cole slaw..Yum!! Cynthia of Solivita said "We ate at Kissimmee Cowboy and had pulled pork, others had ribs....the food is excellent, they make their own BBQ sauces, cole slaw was delicious, everyone liked the baked beans, ribs are meaty and tender....all around really great BBQ and will definitely go again. Chef John from Dockside Daves owns the place. I don't think you will be disappointed."

Pazza Luna Now Open -

On Jun 18, 2010, bbchem wrote:

I passed by today and saw the sign in the window was open! I guess its true it really is open now. We need to go and support, its the first of what could be more if people see they can make a living. Their food is terrific, nice new place as well. On Pleasant hill on the left about 6 miles down where the Tag Auto is now.
Today was the first day Pazza Luna was open for lunch. It was also our first time to eat there. I had the chicken parmigiana and my wife had the jumbo shrimp francaise (isn't jumbo shrimp an oxymoron?). Both meals were very good and came with excellent garlic rolls. The lunch prices are very reasonable. Both lunchs, a coke, and cannolis were under $20.

They will be open for lunch Tuesday - Sunday from 11 -2. They are accepting cash only at the present time until their credit machine is up and running.

7/8/10 - We had a party of 21 who ate there a week ago and the food was all served at the same time and excellent and hot. We had no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend everyone going there.... with or without the 15% discount. the portions were huge and I ate my other half for dinner the next night. Barb P. of Solivita

7/8/10 - I have been there twice and it has been wonderful. They have their coffee situation ironed out and they now have dessert. (great cannoli's ). Donna of Solivita
Angelina's Italian Resturant
"Okay folks, Angelina's is another great choice we have as far as dining is concerned. A friend that lives in Celebration recommended this place to us. My husband and I went there last night, and were extremely pleased! They are located at 19 Blake Blvd., Celebration; 407-566-9067, just behind Joe's Crab Shack and across the street from Coldstone Cremery. Okay, for those who know where I'm from , I'm not being biased or anything, but the owners are from .... New York and have a great "family recipe", passed down from one of their grandmothers for the cannolis (the tiramisu was out of this world too),and an overall great establishment! The ambiance was wonderful,
the service was fantastic, and the food was great! We ordered family style and had the fried calamari for an appetizer, our pasta was ziti
with brasciola, and the meat was sausage and peppers. The family style selections came with salad and dessert. We sat for at least
two and a half hours, talking, enjoying the music playing in the background, speaking with the owners as they made their way from table to table, and dining on the delectable culinary delights - it was a wonderful evening. We WILL return, and I am sure, will enjoy over and over again. II told the owners that we would spread the word here at Solivita. So, consider this a message from one of the "town cryers"! LOL!! Try it, you'll like it!!!" Gabrielle from Solivita
La Forchetta in Kissimmee
"this place was amazing. the food was delicious. the enviroment gave me a type of home-like feeling.

Excerpts from the Sentinel review of La Forchetta-- called it a "casual atmosphere that was grandmotherly perfect". They also call their sauce " a from-scratch triumph with earthy notes of olive oil and oregano." The owner, Maria Manzi is running the restaurant alone since the death of her husband from lung cancer. If you haven't been there in a while---try it again--I think it is a "gem" of a place--and they certainly don't pretend to be anything other than what they are. The service has been very good both times we were there!

We just ate at La Forchetta on Saturday night. The food was wonderful!! We had chicken parmigiana--very large portion with incredible delicious homemade sauce, chicken piccata with a wonderful lemon sauce and homemade ravioli between 4 of us. The owner, Maria, greeted us warmly and appreciates the business. While this is not a "white tablecloth" restaurant, it is a pleasant evening. This is the first Italian restaurant we have been to in the area actually owned by a real Italian lady!! They had a grouper and shrimp special that night as well (added notes by Greg and Joseph from Solivita)

Downtown Kissimmee Restaurants

Broadway Cafe and Arts Gallery, Kissimmee, FL : Reviews and maps - Yahoo! Local
"Wanted to make mention of this restaurant that is well worth a visit. They are at 127 Broadway (407) 870-2787. They have a new, more reasonably priced menu. The ambiance is wonderful; it is decorated with art work from local artists. The best part of going there, however, is listening to tenor Hector and his guitar (Fri/Sat nights). He has an amazing, powerful voice and plays a lot of spanish and italian songs. A delightful way to spend an evening!" Jennifer of Solivita
Chef John's Dockside Inn
"We went to Dock Side for lunch to give it a try. Four thumbs up! I had a club sandwich (fries and cole slaw) $8, had them hold the fries and still could only eat half of the sandwich it was so big. Really good cole slaw too. Gary had eggs benedict with smoked salmon $11 and said it was really good too.
We chatted just a bit with Chef John. He said he used to be executive chef at Black Fin Grill in Winter Park (as well as a few other places we weren't familiar with) and that Dock Side had been open 12 weeks now.
Bobbie was our server and she was fantastic ...anticipated that Gary would want water (since he ordered coffee) and that I would need a "take-out" box. It's nice when your server thinks about their guests and takes care of you even before you ask. We will definitely go back. Thanks for the recommendation to whomever recommended this cute little place." Gloria of Solivita

"The other day we checked out a new place to eat that we haven't been to before, we went to Chef John's Dockside and the food was excellent. Very cozy little place right behind 3 Sisters on Broadway in Kissimmee. We liked it so much we're going again this week. We mostly had the app and the crab cakes were the best I have had in a long time, the fried olives were to die for. Overall an excellent place and not pricey at all. Service was excellent and the Chef even came to our table to see if we enjoyed the meal!!" Phil L. of Solivita

Not Too Far Away

"We found a little restaurant worth a stop. Nick's Diner, is a small family run eatery on Hwy 27 about 1/2 mile south of Posner Park on the right hand of the road when heading north. It is in the middle of a small strip shopping center. This is in the Deer Creek area.

They serve breakfast and lunch daily. Good food and good prices. On Fridays they do a Fish Fry from 2-7 pm. This is the only day they are open after lunch. Their fish & chips is very nice-north Atlantic flounder. You can order the fish fried or grilled. They also have chowder, clam cakes and other seafood items as available.

We've had breakfast and the Fish Fry and found both to be good." Nancy of Solivita

"We absolutely love Gaylords Palms....(a bit of a trip but well worth it). The atmosphere is great and the food even better. Casual dress but upscale facility...food is buffet style...with coconut shrimp and prime rib carving station, being our favorites...their salad barS are wonderful!! They stamp a voucher/receipt for parking....so you don't pay." Barbara and Tony of Solivita
