Smart Business Entrepreneurs Start with Solo Masterminds
I have been repeatedly blessed by my membership. It is with the advice of the women in Solo Masterminds that I finally just jumped head on into my online career.
Prior to this I've only 'played' working at home - writing articles and blogging - earning about $100/month.
Yes, at first I was excited about earning anything for what I do online but $100/month does not support a family of four especially since my husband and I have had little luck with landing a full-time Job since 2009.

Countdown to Solopreneur Webinar for Women
My Solomastermind Update 1/21/2012
Where am I now?
What I've accomplished thus far:
- Consistent blogging on Momwithahook Crochet Journal
- Participating in 52 Lens challenge 3/52
- Cross blog conversation
- Adding audio to website
- Writing a new eBook which will be available in March
- Building my mailing list for Momwithahook Crochet Journal
- Learning Video marketing
- Off line I've set up some Crochet classes for February which is pushing me out of my comfort zone.
- I'm participating in a video community on youtube which is stretching me as I'm more comfortable behind the screen than in front of it. I chose to do this to challenge myself, to develop stronger relationships with my readers, and to fight my negative self - because I am capable of a lot more than I give myself credit for.
I'm also participating more on the forums and getting accountability for my 2012 business goals. I have firm goals this year and am using my organization and planning skills to accomplish these. I still have a difficult time focusing at times but when I do catch myself wandering I set myself back to the task at hand.
Another thing I was able to do was outsource. It wasn't huge but it sure helped me when I needed it. Stacy Jansa is a Virtual Assistant who is also on Solomasterminds and I've seen her work. She's also been very giving in her advice to me on the forums. I hired her to help me with a few things for my saraduggan.com site as well as create two banners which I am using on my Momwithahook Crochet Journal site. I was able to give her a little bit right before Christmas and she was able to relieve some stress for me. Plus, she sent me a Christmas card wishing me success in 2012 - how thoughtful.
How I Got Started with Solo Masterminds
It All Started With A Blog Internship
I have since started my blog 'SaraDuggan.com' which is geared toward teaching Crochet bloggers and how to blog better and use Squidoo to market their products and services.
I've accomplished quite a bit since that blog internship and I owe it all to the mentor relationships I am building with several women I met via Solo Masterminds.

- Mentors are great. I am really benefiting from the knowledge of this solomastermind group. It's cool how mistakes are lessons that we can turn into success - sharing these are how we learn.
