***In the beginning mouse pads were used because the mouse used a ball to make contact with the pad. Today you probably own a laser mouse, but that doesn't mean it still won't scratch a surface.

Mouse pads are still used to help protect the area you are using the mouse. It still has a purpose today.***

Do you like your mouse pad?

When looking for a mouse pad it's got to fit your natural ambiance, or just get one that you really like. It's also important to pick one that will be comfortable for you. If you have a favorite artist or comic character, the sky is the limit.

Don't always go with graphics over comfort, there are some very comfy mousepads that make moving the mouse even more easy.

Pick something that goes with your personality, or pick something you think someone might like, they always make cool gifts.

    I use my laptop or iPad for everything these days and haven't owned a mousepad for a long time. I guess I ought to get one for the old desktop computer just to protect the desk when it does get used. You certainly have a lot of interesting choices on display here. I think all my old mousepads in the past were giveaway swag from trade shows :)

    Great selection of Mousepads. I have some on Zazzle too. Even though you don't need them these days, I still find it easier to have my mouse on a smooth surface. I use a padded mousepad for my other hand to rest my wrist on too.
