Kids Love to Color
Children love to color. It is usually their first artistic endeavor. Coloring is more than just a great activity for rainy days. It enhances their creativity and encourages self-expression. There is simple joy in the activity and a sense of pride when the picture is completed. Inside the lines or outside the boundaries does't matter. Coloring is the first step in creative expression.
When my children were young, we would spend rainy days at the kitchen table drawing and coloring one picture after another. We had fun.
My children are grown now, but I'm still drawing. I would like to share with you some of my drawings as well as links to some of my favorite coloring pages.

The Northern Oriole
The Northern Oriole, often called the Baltimore Oriole, has a black head, and black and white wings. It's breast is orange.

The American Goldfinch is a small, bright yellow bird with black markings on its face and wings. Its beak is a pinkish color.

A Northern Cardinal Pair
The male is a bright red bird with a pointed crest on the top of his head and a long tail. The female is grayish-brown in color with only her crest, wings, and tail sporting the signature red.

- I love to color. It's therapeutic and soothing to think of nothing but color to paper. Fortunately I work with young children and am able to color a few days a week!
