An Original Song - The Greatest Gift for that Special Someone

Being married for 10 years, with four kids and a grandson, I have found (and my wife will agree) that the best gift I've ever given to her, besides the kids, is the gift of music. I have written several songs for her, fully produced and sung by me. Sometimes I did it simply because I wanted to show how much I love her. Other times because I really messed up badly and was basically on the verge of getting kicked to the curb!

Writing a song for that special someone can definitely be one of the most memorable gifts, especially since it can be played over and over.

I do write and sing professionally even having at one time shared the stage with Stevie Wonder. These days, as a music publisher, my writing partners and business associates include such music greats as multi-platinum artist, Michael McCary of Boyz II Men ("One Sweet Day" - Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men) and established hit writer/producer Derek "D.O.A." Allen ("Lately" - Tyrese). And I have written several songs with friends of mine that they used to dedicate to their wives on their wedding day. I even performed their special song during their first dance.
