Sonic the Hedgehog is SEGA's video game mascot. Sonic's nickname is blue blur and he is considered, by many, a legendary video game icon. He is known for his rebellious attitude and signature super fast speed.
Sonic Games were originally created for the SEGA console back in 1991, but you can now find Sonic Video Games on next generation consoles such as the Xbox 360, ps2, ps3, gamecube, Nintendo DS, PSP and Nintendo Wii.
The blue blur hedgehog creates fun and excitement for all sonic video games and he brings some friends along for the fun. Some friends included are Miles Tails Prower, Amy Rose Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles Echidna and Cream the Rabbit. And, of course, Sonic's evil arch enemy, Dr. Eggman (aka Robotnik), pushes his way onto the scene as well.

You start with three characters...Sonic, Knuckles and Tails. You must first complete an adventure, then do break the targets, and finally you battle to complete Adventure mode with each character.
As you complete adventure mode with each of those characters, you unlock other characters... Amy, Rouge, Shadow and Cream. You can also unlock more characters through various challenges as you advance through the game. This game is a must play for all Sonic fans and Super Smash Bros. Brawl fans!

A fan game of Sonic that I found a little while ago. It's basicaly the concept of Super Smash Bros, but with Sonic characters.
