Three reasons to love Sonny Nelson
Just the tip of the Iceberg
Sonny makes me laugh. He's funny, very witty, and very positive about life in general.Sonny's a hard worker and providing for me and all our boys is important to him.
Sonny's a great communicater. We can talk about anything and everything. Nothing is taboo with us.
Sonny's a great listener. He listens when I'm happy, sad, mad, and everthing in between. He understands when I need to rant about something, and knows when I need to vent. He lets me cry when I need to. He knows when I need a hug and when I just want to be held.
He supports my hobbies and my interests, backs me 100% in whatever I want to try, and he helps in every way that he can.
He's so good to me. He takes care of me in all the big ways and millions of small ways too.
Sonny's a GREAT cook! And he does housework too!
Since Sonny and I have both lost our "regular" jobs, we've become Treasure Hunters. Wonderful fun, hard work. He's got a nose for treasure of all sorts anywhere. He travels in a truck with a shovel in the back, and he never comes home empty!
A Story or Two about Sonny.....
I'm in these stories too!
Sonny and I met online in Nov. of 2003. We talked on the phone for hours, laughed, and emailed back and forth until Jan. 1, 2004. We met in person at Burger King (I had my 15 yr. old son with me) and went to the grocery store to get something to cook at home. While I shopped, Sonny and Chris (my son) passed a 2 liter drink bottle up and down the aisles like a football. I was afraid we were all going to be kicked out of the store, but it was so much fun! That same night we watched clouds until the wee hours of the morning. We were freezing, but I wouldn't have missed that for anything.Sonny and I have a plastic roach-bug about 2 inches long that we've been passing back and forth for nearly 5 years. He'll hide it somewhere to surprise me and then it's my turn to hide it for him to find. We've hidden that silly bug every place imaginable (and some you might never think of), and we're still at it. At the moment, it's in my pocket.....until I get a great idea as to where to hide it for him.
Extra Things.....
Fun things, sweet things, silly things.....
He loves eagles and hawks and all birds of prey too. We'll be driving down the road just anywhere and he'll run off the road trying to point out a hawk to me. He gets excited like a kid.
Sonny is allergic to wheat, barley, and rye so it's sometimes hard to find things he can eat. Wheat is in so many things you wouldn't think it would be in. It's astounding. We have to read the ingredients on everything. But he LOVES chocolate so I can always pick up his spirits with a true Hershey chocolate bar. His eyes light up. It's cool.
Sonny and I wake up in the morning laughing a lot of mornings. As soon as Clancy (our bird) hears us, he starts whistling or squawking. Sonny will whistle or squawk back to him. You should hear it. It's almost as funny as listening to him and the dogs howl together. Sometimes I howl too.
Quick, what do you think of Sonny Nelson?
